Your Wix stock count is only right if Wix is the only place you sell

Wix does a solid job of tracking stock for orders that come through your Wix store. The problem shows up the moment you sell anywhere else, too: a craft market, a shop counter, Etsy, wholesale, or a second Wix site. Each of those is a sale Wix never sees, so its count keeps saying you have more than you actually do, right up until a customer orders the last one twice.

That is not a Wix bug. It is what happens to any single-channel stock count once a business grows past one channel, and it is the reason "multichannel inventory" keeps showing up in Wix owners' searches.

What actually goes wrong

A market sale never reaches Wix. You sell the last of an item at a weekend market. Wix still shows it in stock on Monday, and it sells again online before you can update it by hand.

Two channels, two spreadsheets, two truths. Some sellers keep a manual count for their non-Wix sales and try to reconcile it with the Wix dashboard weekly. That works until a busy week, and then it does not.

A "sync" app that duplicates instead of matching. Several inventory tools match Wix products by name. A slightly different title on each side, and the tool creates a second product instead of recognizing it is the same item. Now you have two records to keep straight, which is worse than the problem you started with.

What a real fix looks like

The fix is one stock number that every channel reads from and writes to, instead of one number per channel that someone has to reconcile by hand.

Match by SKU, not by name. A SKU is exact where a product title is not. Stockria's Wix integration matches your Wix products to your Stockria items by SKU only, and creates nothing automatically on either side - a product that does not match shows up as unmatched, so you fix the SKU instead of ending up with a duplicate.

One pool, every channel. Once matched, a Wix order drops stock from the same count a market sale, a counter sale, or an Etsy order draws from. Every channel sees the same number.

Get the catalog in first. Because nothing is auto-created, the useful order is: get your product list into the inventory system with the right SKUs, then connect Wix. A spreadsheet import takes a few minutes and means the very first sync is correct instead of empty.

Setting it up

  1. Import your product catalog into Stockria (a spreadsheet works, or send it in and the team loads it for free), using the same SKUs you use in Wix.
  2. Install Stockria from the Wix App Market.
  3. Run the match. Stockria shows you what matched, what is only in Wix, and what is only in Stockria, so nothing is guessed silently.
  4. Keep selling everywhere. Stockria applies every sale, from Wix or any other channel, against the same stock count.

Full setup detail is on the Wix integration page.

Who this is for

Makers and small shops running a Wix storefront alongside markets, a second channel like Etsy, or a physical counter. If Wix is genuinely the only place you sell, its own stock count is enough. The moment it is not, a single stock pool is the only way the number on the product page stops lying to you.
