Updated October 2026. Every price below was checked on the tool's own website on 4 October 2026. We refresh this guide every quarter.
We make Stockria, one of the tools on this list. We have tried to be fair. Each tool has a section on who it fits and who it does not, and we say where others do things Stockria does not.
What a small shop needs
- Stock you can trust. Bar, plate, tube and hardware, bought by the kg or the length, used by the mm.
- Job cost. Material, machine minutes, labour minutes, setup and outside work.
- Quotes. A price you can send the same day.
- Reorder warnings. Before the rack is empty, not after.
Bigger shops also need a schedule across machines and quality records. That is where the ERPs come in.
The short list

Our number: a two-person shop's first year
We priced the cheapest plan for two users on each tool that publishes prices, billed monthly, on 4 October 2026, including any required setup fee:
| Tool | Plan | First year |
|---|---|---|
| Stockria | Pro, $19/mo, 2 users | $228 |
| MRPeasy | Starter, $49 per user/mo | $1,176 |
| inFlow Manufacturing | StartUp, $199/mo, 2 users, plus $499 onboarding | $2,887 |
| Katana | Core, from $299/mo plus a fee per sales order | $3,588 or more |
So a two-person shop pays from $228 to $3,588 or more in year one. The ERPs below did not publish a price.
1. Stockria
Price: Free for 250 items, 1 user. Pro $19/mo with 2 users. Business $39/mo with 8 users. Growth $89/mo with 25 users. One price per shop, not per user.
Good for machine shops because:
- Bar stock by kg, cut by mm. Units convert for you.
- Machines and people with hourly rates. Put minutes on a part recipe or log time on a job, and the cost adds itself up.
- Jobs for a customer. A job has a name and a customer, uses material from the rack, and shows its real cost when it is done.
- Serial and lot numbers on every plan.
- Works offline on the shop floor, and scans barcodes with a phone camera.
- Set up for you, free. Send us your parts and material list.
Not for you if: you need a schedule across machines, quality and inspection records, or links to CAD and CAM. Stockria does not do those.
Try the free job quote calculator, or see how Stockria works for job shops.
2. MRPeasy
Price: Starter $49, Professional $69, Enterprise $99, Unlimited $149 per user a month. From the 11th user, $79 per 10 users. Free trial of 15 plus 15 days.
Good for machine shops because: it is real MRP: a drag and drop production schedule, workforce planning, CRM and accounting, on every plan. Quality control and subcontracting come with Professional.
Not for you if: you want barcode scanning on a small budget. It is listed from Enterprise at $99 per user. Per-user pricing also adds up as you hire. See MRPeasy vs Stockria.
3. inFlow Manufacturing
Price: StartUp $199/mo (2 users, 1 location), Growth $479, Scale $759, Expansion $1,029. A $499 onboarding package, listed as required on most plans. 14-day trial.
Good for machine shops because: bills of materials, assembly, disassembly and labour and material costs come with every plan. It has a Windows app as well as web and phone apps.
Not for you if: $199 a month plus $499 is more than you want to spend before you know it fits. Serial numbers are a $39/mo add-on. See inFlow Manufacturing vs Stockria.
4. Katana
Price: Free for 30 SKUs. Core from $299/mo plus a fee per sales order delivered. Manufacturing Management add-on (routings and insights) $199/mo, Traceability add-on $249/mo.
Good for machine shops because: unlimited users on every plan, routings across work centres, forecasting and a shop floor app.
Not for you if: you are a shop of a few people. Most of what you pay for is scale. See Katana for small shops.
5. ProShop ERP
Price: on request. Its pricing page says the price is based on users, with a standard and a government option.
Good for machine shops because: it is built for precision shops, with quality management, shop floor tools, tool and fixture management and estimating. It is popular in aerospace, defense and medical work.
Not for you if: you are a small general shop that mostly needs stock and job cost. It is a bigger system with a bigger rollout.
6. JobBOSS2
Price: on request.
Good for machine shops because: it is a job shop ERP for make-to-order and custom metal work: material and purchase orders, scheduling, compliance, and job costing that compares estimate with actual.
Not for you if: you want to see a price and start today without a sales call.
7. Fulcrum
Price: on request. Its site offers a demo, not a price list.
Good for machine shops because: it is a cloud ERP for job shops with job tracking, automatic scheduling, inventory, purchase planning, job costing from live labour and machine time, and quality control.
Not for you if: you want to start small and cheap without a sales process.
