Craftybase is now Stocksmith

In 2026 Craftybase changed its name to Stocksmith. Its own site calls it "same team, same software, just a new name", and says accounts, data, plans and prices did not change. If you are searching for a Craftybase alternative, this is the same comparison. We wrote up what changed and what did not.

Why makers compare Stockria and Stocksmith

Both tools are built for people who make what they sell. Both keep recipes, work out a cost per unit, and take materials off the shelf when you make a batch. The big difference is how you pay.

Stocksmith prices by how many order lines you process each month and how many channels you sell on. Some features start on higher plans. Stockria has one price per plan with every feature on it. Plans only differ in how many items, users and locations you have.

Pricing: what you pay as you grow

On 4 October 2026, Stocksmith's pricing page listed:

  • Pro, from $20/mo, with one sales channel
  • Studio, $49/mo, more than one user, unlimited sales channels
  • Indie, $99/mo, up to 1,000 order lines a month, with batch and lot tracking
  • Business, $199/mo, up to 5,000 order lines, with automatic stock sync and production scheduling
  • Growth, $349/mo, over 5,000 order lines

There is a 14-day trial and no free plan. Paying for a year takes about 17% off.

Stockria starts free for 250 items. Pro is $19/mo, Business is $39/mo and Growth is $89/mo. Every plan has every feature. A big month of sales does not change your price.

Where Stocksmith is strong

Stocksmith has been built for makers for fifteen years. Its cost of goods reports are deep, and many makers know them well. If you already use it and it works, the name change gives you no reason to move. If you need production scheduling across many jobs, its Business plan has that.

Where Stockria is the better fit

Batch tracking without a $99 plan. Every batch you release gets a lot number and, if it has a shelf life, an expiry date, on every plan.

Stock that syncs everywhere. A sale on Etsy, Shopify, Square, Amazon, Wix or WooCommerce updates stock on the others. No $199 plan needed.

Batches that cure. Start a batch of soap and the materials come off the shelf at once. The bars wait on the In Production board until they are ready to sell.

Buy by the kg, use by the gram. Write recipes in the unit you work in. Stockria does the conversion.

Works offline. Count, scan and sell at a market with no signal. It syncs when you are back online.

We set it up for you. Send us your spreadsheet or export. We build your materials, recipes and products, free.

Try the numbers first with the free soap cost calculator or the candle cost calculator, or see how Stockria works for batch makers.

Moving from Stocksmith

Export your products and materials as CSV from Stocksmith. Import them into Stockria, or send us the files and we move you over for free. Check one recipe, connect your channels, and you are running.

The bottom line

If you have used Craftybase for years and its reports run your business, Stocksmith is still a good tool under a new name. If you want batch tracking, stock sync and offline selling without climbing to a $99 or $199 plan, and a price that does not grow with your orders, Stockria gives you all of it from $0.
